Yang Zixu, Ph.D., associate professor, received his bachelor's and master's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009 and 2012, respectively. After obtaining his PhD fromThe University of Oklahoma (US) in 2016, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Washington State University (US) from October, 2016 to December, 2017. In January 2018, he began his research work in the Energy and Environmental Catalysis Group, Department of Chemical Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology. His academic career has mainly focused on the application research of the conversion of carbonaceous fuels such as coal, biomass and natural gas to liquid fuels and high value-added chemicals as well as the preparation of biomass-based advanced carbon materials and their industrial applications. In the past 5 years, he published more than 10 SCI papers in field related journals and applied for a U.S. patent.
